MyRetireAge provides information and general guidance to help you understand retirement planning. Nothing on this site is financial advice, and we are not regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. We know nothing about your personal circumstances, and our calculators cannot take them into account. Before making decisions that affect your financial future, consider speaking to a regulated financial adviser. Projections are estimates

Every projection on this site is an estimate built from the assumptions shown alongside it. Investment returns, inflation, tax rules and State Pension policy all change, and actual outcomes will differ from any projection - possibly by a lot. Projections are not a promise or guarantee of any outcome. The value of investments can fall as well as rise, and capital is at risk when investing.

Accuracy and tax year

We keep UK figures (tax bands, National Insurance, State Pension amounts and ages) current for the tax year shown on each page and verify them against official sources. Even so, errors are possible and rules change mid-year. Where it matters, check the source - gov.uk - or ask an adviser.

Using the site

The calculators are free to use for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don’t attempt to disrupt the service, scrape it at abusive volumes, or misrepresent our results as your own product. That’s it.

The planner: membership, payment and refunds

The planner at /app is free to try: you can build a plan and see your result without an account, and nothing is saved. Saving a plan, monthly check-ins and scenarios need a paid membership. There are two. A founding member licence is paid once, lasts for the life of the product, includes every planner feature we add at no extra charge, and is limited to the first one hundred members. An annual membership runs for a year from the day you pay and renews on the same date each year until you cancel. Payment is taken by Stripe, our payment provider; we never see your card details. Memberships are sold to UK billing addresses only for now, and prices are shown without VAT because we are below the registration threshold.

An annual membership renews automatically. If we change its price, we will email you at least 30 days before your renewal date, and you can cancel before the new price applies. You can cancel renewal at any time from the billing page, and your membership carries on as normal until the end of the year you have paid for. After that your plan stays readable and exportable, but saving changes, check-ins and new scenarios need a membership again. Nothing you entered is deleted when a membership lapses.

Because the planner is digital content, you would normally have a 14-day right to cancel under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. Your membership starts the moment you pay, so at checkout you are asked to agree to immediate access and to acknowledge that this ends that legal right; the purchase cannot be completed without that agreement. We make our own promise instead: within 14 days of buying a founding licence or starting an annual membership, you can ask for a full refund for any reason, by emailing us or writing to us from the planner’s help page. A refund ends the membership it refunded; your plan stays readable and exportable. After those 14 days payments are not refundable, but you can still cancel an annual membership’s renewal and keep using it until the year you paid for ends.

Deleting your account from the planner’s settings ends your membership straight away and cancels any renewal. After the first 14 days there is no refund for the unused part of the year, so if you only want to stop paying, cancel renewal instead.

“Lifetime” for a founding member means the lifetime of the planner as a product we operate. If we ever close it, we will give founding members at least three months’ notice and a way to export everything.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for losses arising from decisions made in reliance on this site’s content or calculators. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under English law.
