UK retirement, made legible

MyRetireAge exists to answer one question honestly: when could you afford to stop working?

Why we built this

Most retirement tools in the UK are built to sell you something - a pension transfer, an advice appointment, a platform. The numbers bend accordingly. We wanted the opposite: free calculators with every assumption on show, so you can see exactly how the answer was reached and change anything you disagree with.

How we keep the numbers honest

Every tax band, National Insurance rate, student loan threshold and State Pension figure is verified against official gov.uk sources for the tax year shown on each page. The calculation engine is covered by automated tests, and the worked examples in our guides are locked to the same engine, so the copy can never drift from what the calculator actually does.

What you’ll find here

Five free calculators, each built around a question people actually ask: retirement age, state pension age, disposable income, compound interest, pension drawdown. All of them work without an account, and you can share or embed the results freely.

What’s coming

We’re building a full retirement planner: every pension, ISA and savings pot in one place, and one honest number that moves as you save - the age work becomes optional. Join the early access list to try it first.

Who’s behind it

MyRetireAge is made in the UK by Adam Akhlaq, a software engineer who got tired of retirement tools that treat you like a lead. It provides guidance, not financial advice - for advice about your own circumstances, speak to a regulated adviser (you can find one via moneyhelper.org.uk). Questions or corrections are always welcome at hello@myretireage.com.
